The organisers of the Spanish meeting of the European Platform for Biodiversity Research Strategy (EPBRS) and the BioStrat project coordinators invite you to participate in the electronic conference “Evolution and Biodiversity: The evolutionary basis of biodiversity and its potential for adaptation to global change”, which will run from the 1st – 19th March 2010.
01.02.2010. The next EPBRS meeting will be held in Mallorca, Spain from 13th to 15th April 2010 with the title "Evolution and Biodiversity: The evolutionary basis of biodiversity and its potential for adaptation to global change". It will discuss how science can help policy makers identify priority areas for research on the interplay between evolutionary processes and biodiversity patterns in addition to the effect of anthropogenic pressures upon them.

The next EPBRS meeting will be held in Paris, France, from the 17th to the 21st of November 2008, with the title "Biodiversity and the industry".
Please register before the 15th October at http://www.EPBRSparis2008.fr/. To receive financial support, eligible Biostrat partners will have to indicate their request on the registration form.

The next EPBRS meeting will be held in Porto, Portugal, from the 7th to the 9th of November 2007, with the title "Life on the blue Planet: Biodiversity research and the new European Marine Policies". Themes of the E-conference, due in October, will be:
- Interactions between global change and marine biodiversity
- Effects of the different measures of mitigation and adaptation to climate change (coastal defences, renewable energies ) on marine biodiversity
- Stop marine biodiversity loss – key scientific issues in the design, management and policy development related with MPAs and integration of biodiversity concerns in the different marine sectors
